Parkway, which is where most of this week’s on-community events happen: the free group run, yoga on the

Fleet Feet Katy Tuesday Run

A free weekly community group run that gathers at the Fleet Feet store at LaCenterra, the neighborhood square on the community’s main entrance. All paces welcome, every Tuesday, rain or shine; arrive a few minutes early to join the route.
Free outdoor yoga on the lawn at LaCenterra’s Central Green, with two back-to-back sessions each morning, Wednesday and Friday. Classes are open to all levels; bring a mat, towel, and water, and enjoy the open-air start to the day.
A free 30-minute tai chi session on the green to ease into the weekend, led in the open air at Central Green. All levels welcome; just bring yourself (and water) and join in.
These events sit outside Cinco Ranch proper, in Katy, and are all a short drive from the community. Each card

Family Story Time at Cinco Ranch Branch Library

Weekly children’s story time at the library branch named for Cinco Ranch, just southwest of the community: stories, songs, and rhymes for families with kids of all ages. Session dates and times are confirmed on the library’s event calendar, so check before you go.
A dinner out that gives back: 34 percent of the evening’s proceeds support Hope Impacts, a Katy-area nonprofit. The event is listed on the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce community calendar.
The 1990s alt-rock band Everclear plays a Friday-night show on the Katy Freeway. Tickets are sold through AXS; door times can differ from the show time, so check your ticket before heading out.
A Saturday-morning produce and goods market on the Grand Parkway, a few minutes from Cinco Ranch’s west edge, in the church parking lot. A convenient stop on the way to weekend errands; hours are confirmed in recent community market listings.
A year-round Saturday market in Historic Katy, rain or shine, with local produce and handmade goods gathered around the Dryer’s courtyard. A pleasant 15-minute drive from Cinco Ranch, and a good excuse to see the old downtown.
LaCenterra Farmers Market returns to Heritage Square

The LaCenterra Farmers Market runs year-round on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, so this week’s Sunday is a pause: the market’s September dates are the 13th and 27th. Mark the 27th for produce, local goods, and the usual Sunday crowd on the square.
