The Katy Rice Harvest Festival
The biggest date on the fall calendar is the Katy Rice Harvest Festival, which returns to Historic Downtown Katy's Town Square on October 10 to 11, 2026. It is part carnival, part street fair: live music on the square, more than a hundred vendor booths, food trucks, and carnival rides, all drawing the wider Katy community together. An early-October parade kicks the festivities off the week before.
It is family-friendly and walkable once you arrive, but it is not free. Adult admission is $15 per day, children 12 and under get in free, and everyone needs a ticket for entry. Carnival tickets or ride passes are sold separately from admission. Expect to park a short walk away and to stay for the music in the evening, which is where the festival really comes alive.

LaCenterra keeps a running calendar
Closer to home, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch runs events through the fall. There is a regular farmers market, typically the second and fourth Sundays at Heritage Square, plus autumn and holiday programming: an autumn harvest festival and artisan market in November, Paws Fest in October, the annual tree lighting in late November, and Storytime with Santa in December.
